The Union County Courthouse is located in Jonesboro, Illinois. The twin cities, Anna and Jonesboro, account for most of the population in Union County. Notable natives include businessman George M. Union County is also the home to several outstanding wineries set against some of the prettiest scenery in the state. The Johnson County Courthouse is located in Vienna, Illinois. Vienna is home to one of the most scenic bicycle trails in the state, namely the Tunnel Hill State Trail. Johnson County features several scenic locations, including Ferne Clyffe State Park and parts of Shawnee National Forest and Cypress Creek National Wildlife Refuge. Notable natives of Vienna include Congressmen Pleasant T. Chapman and Andrew J. Kuykendall. Johnson County has several excellent restaurants; two of our favorites are Wildfires and Wineaux's.
