Megan is a Southern Illinois native. She grew up in Pope and Williamson Counties. She graduated from Herrin High School and continued her education at John A. Logan College and Southern Illinois University. In 2009, she graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Megan is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and in Federal Court in the Southern District of Illinois.
Megan is very active in her local and state legal community. Locally, she is a member of the Williamson County Bar Association, Jackson County Bar Association, and serves on the Planning Committee for the Joint CLE Program the two bar associations produce. At the state level, she is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. She was selected to serve on the ISBA Tort Law Section Council and has remained a Section Council Member since 2018. Additionally, she serves as an Assembly Member representing the First Judicial Circuit in the ISBA Assembly, the supreme policy making body of the Association.
